Having the ability to raise and lower the centerboard allows the boat to operate in shallow waters when lifted, while maintaining good upwind sailing characteristics with the centerboard down. She is capable of easily sailing upwind off a lee shore, while still allowing the boat to tuck way up into shallow anchorages when necessary.

This Nimble 30, is a yawl version from the board of the renowned naval architect Ted Brewer. This is a rare and highly prized design of which very few were built, and they rarely appear on the market, as they are a prized vessel for fun sailing.
Whether you are after a liveaboard, a daysailer or weekend cruiser, this boat delivers it all with a rig that is set up for easy single handing as all lines are led aft to the cockpit. The yawl rig provides many sailing options as well. On those days with little time and the compulsion to go for a short single-handed sail, the Jib and Jigger configuration makes it quick and convenient.
At the bow, you have a great "third mate" in the form of a power windlass that makes for easy anchoring in favorite gunkhole.
The weather decks offer ample walking comfort and the aggressive non-skid on the coach roof installed with safety in mind.
Down below, you will find the traditional layout with all the essential amenities that make for comfortable cruising.
The accommodation plan the Nimble 30' Yawl is in keeping with traditional qualities. There is full standing headroom with as much as 6' 4" under the opening skylight. Ventilation is great due to its 9 opening ports, two opening hatches, and companionway.
