Broker's Comments
Only 35 of the West Solent Restricted Class were ever built They are regarded as 'real gentlemen's yachts'. Long, low, sleek and flush decked, they fulfil their promise of excellent cruiser racers. It's their classic shape, the spoon bow and the sweep of the counter that evokes the halcyon days of the 'J' Class. The Royal Burnham Yacht Club adopted the class and in the Crouch carried a sail number prefixed with WB. The vessel is well known, competitive and highly regarded in local racing circles vShe was subject to an extensive rebuild in 1985 with work done ever since, including a new mast and rigging in 2013. A survey in 2015 gave a clean bill of health remarking that 'the vessel is in extremely good condition for her age, and all the work in recent years is done to a very high standard'.
This is a great opportunity, superbly presented by the current owner, she is ready to be cherished and enjoyed cruising or racing.
