Volvo Penta D2-40 new in 2008, well insulated yet accessible installation. Clean & dry bilges.
Hydraulic steering , dual helms. The flybridge hydraulic pump was changed in April 2024
BATTERIES:
2x100Ah domestic batteries which are separated by a switch (one used at a time)
1X95Ah start battery changed in September 2021one starting battery, all batteries are charged by shore power and alternator. Portable 300 w inverter. All you need for simple but enjoyable cruising on the inland waterways.

Constructed in 1996 by Nicols for their hire fleet and retired after the 2009 season. Solid GRP construction with optimum use of space and ease of access for maintenance a priority. A big plus is the fact that the entire boat is almost all on the same level with the panoramic sliding patio doors opening straight out onto the aft deck for convivial entertaining. Fly bridge steering and seating accessed via a ladder from the aft deck.
Last anti fouling in April 2021.

Light bright living accommodation. Forward cabin with island double (140x190m and headroom of 1.45m at the head of the bed and 1.77m in the rest of the cabin) and direct access to WC, shower and washbasin which also serves as day head when accessed by another door from the saloon corridor. Two more cabins (one with own shower and WC ensuite) with a double berth (140x190) and the other cabin on port side with a single berth ( 90x190) both with standing head room of 1.83m at the access but coffin berth extending under saloon.
Both showers have 1.78m headroom.
Galley with all gas (220L fridge and freezer, 3 burner cooker and oven). 2 saloon tables easy to move and create another lay out, the curtains were renewed in 2020.
Hot water from a 50L calorifer (heated by engine only) .
Heating: TRUMATIC gas heater blown air system with 2 vents in the saloon and 1 in each cabin
All lighting on the boat is LED.
A satelite dish and tv antenna are part of the sale, unfortunately no tv screen.

Ex hire cruiser for sale in France. Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to offer this NICOLS 1000 for sale. Built by the famous Nicols yard in 1996 and re engined in 2008.
An impressive use of space on this canal and river cruiser. Bright airy living accommodation and lots of storage space. Easy access for maintenance. Easy access and freedom of movement thanks to the “all on one level” Sedan layout. These Nicols cruisers are a very interesting proposition for anyone tired of going up and down stairs all day.
Mooring in a lovely little town on the Canal Lateral à La Garonne may be transferred upon request to the marina manager, cost is 1800 euros per year.
