Broker's Comments
Hull # 15, For sale by her second owner of 42 years, who finds it increasingly difficult to go sailing, this classic Swan 55 has been everywhere and done everything. In the late 70's early 80's when chartering out of St Lucia guests included Paul Newman, Mick Jagger and Jimmy Buffett. Between 1988 and 1992 the owner circumnavigated, with an extended stop in Thailand due to the first Gulf war then after completing his round the world voyage returned to Thailand, where more than 25 years later this modern classic is now on the market.
OK she needs a bit of work to be restored to her former glory, but she can be and is sailed as she is, sails are reported to be in good condition and the engine , fully rebuilt around 1500 hrs ago, runs well.
