Broker's Comments
The Jeanneau Melody 35, first built in 1978, is a well thought of ocean-crossing cruising boat with nice lines, a solid feel and strong seakeeping abilities. She has a high ballast ratio giving her impressive upwind performance whilst still remaining comfortable to sail shorthanded
Down below this is one of the first ever Jeanneau designs with a double aft cabin in place of the more traditional quarter berths. This offers excellent accommodation for a boat of this era – she has double forecabin and the saloon has two settees which convert to great sea berths and all the bunks have ample stowage underneath.
Both the galley and the navigation area are well laid out and usable, she is currently a liveaboard although very much in sailing commission. Her owner has Improved her in the last year, her hull was stripped and recoated below the waterline, she had a new engine and has now had considerable upgrades to her electrical systems. She has a stove for heating midships keeping her dry and warm all year round
She comes fully equipped to either liveaboard or sail away on your own or with crew.
