Broker's Comments
The Hunter Horizon 26 is a cruising yacht with good accommodation and performance in a compact form. Generally Hunters are amongst the best performing bilge-keeled yachts on the market, 'Yachting Monthly' describing them as a ".... lively yet stable boat to sail, light on the helm and responsive".
Unusually open and airy for a British built boat of this era she has a separate heads and aft cabin, plenty of storage and (and I am a big fan) a moulded wipe clean interior so no sagging headlinings!
She's in a boatyard surrounded by trees so unfortunately is a bit green on deck and needs a good clean. However she appears to be in good order and complete. I photographed her after a day of torrential rain and found no leaks. The engine was running well prior to winterisation (according to the yard who look after her) and sails, running rigging and cushions are stored inside and all look clean.
This is a popular boat with an active class association and whilst she would benefit from some upgrading she has everything you need for fun family adventures
