Broker's Comments
Based on the traditional lines of a Falmouth working boat, the Heard 28 is a heavy displacement cruiser, offering all the traditional appearance of a classic boat without the upkeep of a wooden hull.
Sally J is a beautiful example of this classic gaff cutter. The interior, as one would expect, exhibits all that classical 'old world' charm. Details such as brass oil lamps, wood panelling and cast stove give a warm and inviting feel.
Teak decks, wooden bulwarks, mast, spars and bow sprit, traditional rig, and Jute style running rigging, all add to the overall appearance.
Powered by a Beta Marine 25hp diesel (2013) the boat also comes with Dinghy and Mariner 2hp.
If classic cruising appeals this fine example of the Heard 28 is definitely worth considering.
