About Kevin Matejovsky
I'm excited to be a part of the Boatshed team!
Boatshed caught my eye when I was shopping for my own boat. I really enjoyed the user interface and professional attitude of the staff.
I've always been a waterman, however, my sailing started in San Diego back in the 80s while I was in the Navy. Over the years, I also got into windsurfing. Life pivots presented themselves and after a long tenure in the oil and gas industry, I decided to get back into sailing and haven't looked back.
Most recently, in 2022 I received my Bareboat license in Florida and crewed on some private passages on the Eastern seaboard, Bermuda, and Caribbean.
In early 2024, I passed the USCG/OUPV Captains course at the US Maritime Academy in Seattle, Washington. I then launched a grass roots crew and yacht delivery business. I currently have over 11,000 nm between Europe, South America, USA, and most recently the South Pacific, including a Trans- Atlantic and Trans-PAC.
I have an affinity for problem solving and love being around machinery/technology of any kind. My most memorable experiences have been short handed Ocean crossings.
