This Colvic does need some TLC, however if you are looking for a blue-water cruiser then there are fantastic plus points that are of more value than the tired looking cosmetic appearance. The stanchions do need rebidding but the actual coachroof felt sturdy. The masts and booms are state of the art and are relatively new. 4500kgs ballast. The current owner has sailed to many far away shores with this vessel and has always felt safe on board. See the video and owners commentary. I am going to get a surveyor to have a quick look over her.

The accommodation is really cavernous. This vessel has provided her current owner with wonderful passage making tales. The cabins are all very good sizes, with ample stowage. The wood work in the aft cabin looks very nice. The main saloon is spacious but could do with modern upholstery and carpets. The galley is a sensible size but again would benefit from a revamp. The forward cabin and portside cabins - again have very good stowage and are relatively spacious too.
2 burner paraffin Stove

The deck needs a repaint and stanchions to be re-bedded. The coach roof and deck do not feel soft though, The deck is uncluttered and easy to get around.

Broker's Comments
These boat details are subject to contract.
This Colvic Victor 40 does need tlc - but just take a look at the important things - masts, booms. rigging - all have been renewed. Meaty steering gear. The navigational gear is comprehensive too. I am going to get a surveyor to cast an eye on this vessel as I believe that she is a sturdy girl, capable of many more years blue-water cruising. The stanchions, need re-bedding and the decks, cleaned, painted etc. The teak in the cockpit needs attention too. Hard Standing fee's are also paid up until Nov 2014! This vessel will be of interest to a practical person who has the vision to see what a fantastic boat this could be. Take a look at the video.
