Nonsuch Catboats have a single sail with a very large diameter, unstayed aluminum mast. The "Wishbone Boom" as described in GOOGLE follows; The natural tendency of the boom is to pull down and forward. The downward force eliminates the need for a boom vang. The forward force is counteracted by a single line called a choker that pulls the wishbone aft, flattening the sail.
The sail on this boat was original to the 1985 build. The seller reports it to be in good condition.

Broker's Comments
The Nonsuch 30 is well-known among catboat aficionados as being delightfully simple to sail short-handed. It has the interior accommodations of a much larger vessel thanks to her topsides and highly crowned deck.
Her fin keel and partially balanced rudder help eliminate the weather helm often associated with other catboat designs, while her wide beam and 39% ballast-to-displacement ratio make her both stable and forgiving.
The combination of her generous cockpit, voluminous interior, simple sailing characteristics and shallow draft make her an ideal coastal cruiser for families and single-handers alike.
This meticulously-maintained example of the 'Classic' Nonsuch 30 design, is one of only a handful in the Pacific Northwest. Her owner reports she's a pleasure to sail and you will not find a larger interior on any other 30 foot monohull.
Plus! She's got air-conditioning!
With only 388 hours on the engine this boat clearly has been very lightly used.
