Broker's Comments
In 1964, Dick Carter entered the first boat he designed, the innovative 34-foot RABBIT, in the prestigious Fastnet Race, and against all odds took first place beating 151 other racing yachts. Dick went on to establish a new look, and pioneer ingenious technological breakthroughs for racing yachts.
Years later his boats are still racing and cruising successfully all over the world, and his design innovations are seen as standard elements in the best racing yachts today.
The DNA of the Carter 36 is filled with all that ingenious innovation, a stunning looking yacht with exaggerated tumblehome, sleek bow and tapered cockpit, a real eye catcher, more often admired from behind...
Sadly 'Mischief' is a little down on her luck and requires some attention to see her fight another day. There are some recent, noteworthy upgrades though. The engine was replaced in 2012 ,Main and Genoa sails were new in 2017 (currently dry stored ashore).
If one can see past the hardships of a life of racing, then you will note Mischief is one tough, capable racer/cruiser, waiting for a new helmsman to steer her in to battle once again.
