The Bayliner 4518 pilothouse model is one of the manufacturer's most popular motor yachts. These have various designations (4518, 4588, etc.) but are essentially the exact same model.
The hull is a semi-displacement type with a shallow draft (3' 6") for this size of vessel. The pilothouse is augmented by an upper flybridge. There are three staterooms below decks and an expansive living space.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Enter the main saloon from the large, fully enclosed aft cockpit.
To port is a U-shaped settee with dining table. Opposite to starboard are a pair of matching upholstered chairs between a teak coffee table. Forward further to starboard is a full featured wet bar with deep sink, bottle storage, and refrigerator/freezer.
Opposite the wet bar to port is the large galley area. This features a three-burner propane stove with oven, deep double stainless steel sink with modern faucet fixture, a full-size refrigerator with freezer, a microwave, and ample storage in many drawers and cabinets. Large windows in the saloon and galley area are a signature Bayliner 45 model design feature.
From the galley and saloon area, companionway stairs lead forward to the lower cabins, or up to the large pilothouse.
Taking the stairs down, the lower cabin area features three private spaces and two marine head compartments.
To port is a guest cabin. This has a pullman double berth and ample storage in drawers and lockers. A large flatscreen television is mounted on the wall.
Opposite this cabin to starboard is the guest marine head compartment. This features an electric toilet and stall shower.
Forward to the end of the hallway is the master suite. This features a walk-around queen sized pedestal bed. There is ample storage throughout this cabin, as well as a large flatscreen television. The master suite includes a large marine head compartment that has an electric toilet plus a large shower in a stall with an integrated small bathtub.
Adjoining the master cabin is another guest cabin and office area. This features a teak desk, ample storage, and a single settee with a lifting back to form upper and lower single berths. A folding panel door encloses this space for privacy.
The full interior is heated with a forced air diesel furnace for year-round enjoyment.
Returning down the hallway and back up to the galley you meet the stairs up to the pilothouse. This is very commercial-style and commanding in appearance with a centerline helm flanked by controls and navigation instruments. An L-shaped settee with table provides for companion seating. Doors open to port and starboard for access to exterior decks. A short staircase leads up through an opening glass door to the flybridge.

Broker's Comments
Here's one of the most popular of Bayliner's yacht models, kept under cover almost since new - and it truly shows in appearance today. The exterior gelcoat finish, trim, and exterior canvas show in excellent condition, devoid of the wear and tear of Northwest weather over the years.
The 45 series models (4518, 4588, 4550) have long been recognized as one of the best big-boat buys in the industry. The lines of the vessel are classic Pacific Northwest - with a spacious, full visibility pilothouse that provides access with a few steps to an upper flybridge and helm. This boat goes even further for year-round cruising with a fully enclosed aft cockpit and a forced air diesel furnace aboard.
Powered by twin 220 HP Hino (Toyota) diesels the semi-displacement hull cruises comfortably at 8 to 10 knots but can increase speed to avoid weather and overcome current when needed. A large (12 KW) generator and inverter-charger provide for self-sufficiency away from shore power.
This would make for a great live-aboard yacht home. The layout is ideal, creating separate spaces for guests and entertaining while providing for ample private berthing when voyaging. I have direct personal experience delivering a Bayliner 45 from SF Bay to Puget Sound, running for extensive periods overnight and offshore. The boat handled remarkably well and provided us with a safe and enjoyable passage in sometimes difficult conditions.
Although 350 Bayliner 45 models were built over a decade you will be hard pressed to find one looking this good today at this price. If you are looking for value in a spacious, comfortable motor yacht for living aboard and cruising please contact me today to schedule your personal showing.
The current covered live aboard moorage may be transferrable to the new owner.
