Broker's Comments

Boatshed London are delighted to offer this Dutch Steel Cruiser 40ft for sale which has been immaculately maintained by the owner.

Built in 1982 by Heck and C Goudappel, this two cabin, one heads boat makes an ideal cruiser for the Thames or back on the canals of Europe. Recently surveyed in 2018 and out of the water again for antifouling in 2019, this boat is beautifully presented - check out the detailed photographs of the external woodwork - and it really is as good in the flesh as the photos suggest. The propeller was refurbished along with fresh anodes in September 2019. Currently owned by the sort of person you want to buy a boat from i.e. someone that preempts problems instead of reacting to them.

Laid out with a central, light saloon (headroom 6'), forward V berth cabin, a small galley to starboard in that room, a wet room with sea toilet fitted to a holding tank and shower to port and an aft cabin with double bed (headroom 5'9"). The boat has Eberspacher heating.

The 110HP allows comfortable cruising at 8 knots and the owner reports excellent sea-keeping abilities if you do venture further out. They have been out in a force 5 on the Estuary and the boat coped well. Fitted with a bowthruster and two helm stations.

Viewing is highly recommended but please note, current access to the boat is via a vertical ladder down the river wall onto its own pontoon but arrangements could be made for easier access to view.

These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
